The Daily Record May 6, 2024

The Chevy Chase Land Company, a commercial real estate investment and asset management company with properties across the Washington metro area, Tuesday announced the completion of a $25 million renovation to the interior and exterior of 2 Bethesda Metro in downtown Bethesda, as well as the rollout of a new shared amenity program, Ascend by The Chevy Chase Land Company powered by CBRE’s Host platform.

The company plans a celebration event April 24 to reveal the improvements.

The multimillion-dollar renovation include a new building façade, a relocated entryway off the Metro and parking garage, covered walkway to access brand new amenity pavilion and rooftop patio with open-air fitness space. The interior now has a new light- and art-filled lobby, an amenity pavilion, a fitness center, yoga room, locker rooms and 20-person conference center with tenant lounge, pool table and kitchen.

Powered by CBRE’s Host platform and mobile app, the model is managed by an “academy-trained” concierge team that supports the cross-access to the different properties. Tenant “members” of Ascend can pivot to the related properties to utilize amenity spaces and expand their opportunities to connect with colleagues and clients in more varied and healthful venues.

The Cushman & Wakefield team representing The Chevy Chase Land Company includes Peter Rosan, Kevin McGloon, and Katie Gormley. Most recently, the team closed a 16,671 square-foot lease with coworking space company Regus.
