Barre3 Bethesda + The Collection, Chevy Chase Partner to Offer Safe-Distanced Outdoor Classes

Chevy Chase, MD [August 13th, 2020] – As businesses continue to navigate the COVID-19 crisis and its impact on the local community, The Collection in Chevy Chase is partnering with local boutique fitness studio barre3 Bethesda to support small businesses and promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Together they are hosting a series of outdoor classes featuring giveaways and prizes from participating retail shops, service providers and restaurants. The barre3 class series, held on “The Green”, begins in August with $10 classes each Saturday from 9-10am.

Barre3 Bethesda offers a full body, balanced workout combining strength conditioning, cardio and mindfulness. Since temporarily closing its studio doors in March due to COVID-19, the studio has continued to captivate its loyal followers with high quality Livestream and outdoor classes that reduce stress, build strength and leave the body feeling balanced inside and out.

Owner of barre3 Bethesda Juliana Stein notes that pivoting during a pandemic has been a dedicated work of passion, of embracing a flexible mindset, and taking the opportunity to create a supportive community of health and wellness. “Day two of our forced closure, we decided to serve our community through Livestream classes via Zoom. Once we were able to bring our classes outside, we jumped on the opportunity to offer an in-person experience that so many were craving. Our actual studio may be temporarily closed for classes, but our clients and small business community couldn’t feel stronger.”

“We’re excited to welcome barre3 Bethesda to The Collection to utilize our green space for outdoor classes,” said Jenn Coursen of The Collection. “This provides a great opportunity for the local community to visit The Collection, get outside to exercise and celebrate what our businesses offer all while practicing safe, social distancing.”

Clients of barre3 outdoor classes are asked to bring and sanitize their own props. Barre3 also offers certain props for sale through cash free transactions. Masks are encouraged leading up to and after class and extra cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place for any materials used. Class size is capped at 15 people.

“By offering these options, we hope to meet our community where they are and ensure everyone can have a safe and positive experience,” Stein says.

Barre3 classes at The Collection feature giveaways from local businesses including Little Beet Table, Whyte House Monograms, Chevy Chase Florist, Style Infinity, Capital Cryo and barre3 Bethesda.

Tickets for August barre3 classes at The Collection are available via Eventbrite for $10. 

Barre3 Bethesda Livestream and outdoor classes are held 7 days a week. The studio’s full class schedule can be found on MindBody online.
